This Privacy Policy describes how Ray & Martin and its affiliates (collectively "Ray & Martin, we, our, us") collect, use, share, protect or otherwise process your personal information through our website (the "rayandmartin.in"). By visiting the Platform, providing your information, or availing of our products/services, you expressly agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy, the Terms of Use, and the applicable service/product terms and conditions, and agree to be governed by the laws of India including but not limited to the laws applicable to data protection and privacy.

1. Collection of Personally Identifiable Information

We collect your personal information relating to your identity, demographics, and when you use our Platform or services. We may collect your personal information during the course of providing our services to you.

• Registration Data: When you set up an account, we collect your email address, delivery address, name, phone number, and password.
• Transaction Data: We track your buying behaviour, preferences, and other information that you choose to provide on our Platform.
• Payment Data: If you choose to transact on the Platform, we collect information regarding your billing address and payment status. Note: We do not collect or store full credit/debit card numbers or UPI PINs. These are securely processed directly by our authorized payment gateway (HDFC CCAvenue).
• Usage Data: We automatically track certain information about you based on your behaviour on our Platform, such as your IP address, browser information, and URL tracking to understand our users' demographics, interests, and behaviour.

2. Use of Profile Data / Your Information

We use your personal information to provide the products and services you request. To the extent we use your personal information to market to you, we will provide you the ability to opt-out of such uses.

We use your personal information to:

• Fulfil orders and handle deliveries via Indian Post.
• Resolve disputes and troubleshoot problems.
• Help promote a safe service and collect money.
• Measure consumer interest in our products and services.
• Inform you about online and offline offers, products, services, and updates.
• Customize and enhance your experience.
• Protect us against error, fraud, and other criminal activity.

3. Sharing of Personal Information

We do not sell or trade your personal information. We may share personal information internally within Ray & Martin and with our authorized corporate entities and affiliates to facilitate your purchases.

We strictly share your data with the following third parties for operational purposes:

• Logistics Partners: Your name, address, and phone number are shared with Indian Post to facilitate order delivery.
• Payment Gateways: Your transaction details are routed through HDFC CCAvenue for secure processing.
• Cloud & IT Services: We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host our store infrastructure and manage our promotional communications securely.

We may disclose personal information to law enforcement agencies, third party rights owners, or others in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce our Terms of Use or Privacy Policy, or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of our users or the general public.

4. Security Precautions

We maintain reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your information. Whenever you access your account information, we offer the use of a secure server. Once your information is in our possession, we adhere to strict security guidelines, protecting it against unauthorized access. However, by using the Platform, the users accept the inherent security implications of data transmission over the internet which cannot always be guaranteed as completely secure.

5. Choice / Opt-Out

We provide all users with the opportunity to opt-out of receiving non-essential (promotional, marketing-related) communications from us after setting up an account. If you do not wish to receive promotional communications from us, you can unsubscribe by clicking the link in the email or contacting our Grievance Officer.

6. Data Retention and User Rights

We retain your personal information for a period no longer than is required for the purpose for which it was collected or as required under any applicable law (generally 7 years for financial transactions to comply with Indian tax laws).

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, you retain the right to:

7. Children's Information

Our Platform is available only to persons who can form a legally binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under the age of 18 years.
